How do the books get chosen:
When we started the club the aim was to get people together to have a drink, read a book and review it.
The first book that was chosen was by Sara (Chairperson) and a week before the next review, names were pulled out of a hat and that person was therefore nominated to choose the next book for review.
We have our meetings on a monthly basis and therefore have on average 4 weeks to read the set book.
People not finishing the book, suffer a nominal penalty fee.
At each meeting, all members pay a small sub and it has been agreed by the club that all funds will go towards a damn good party at Christmas.
Proxy club members pay no fees.
Meetings are setup occassionally throughout the year to enable the proxy members to meet up with full members - email notices are sent out in advance.
